COVID-19 in Palestine Webinar | MFSA

From MFSA:

In spite of being locked down by COVID-19 with limited health care options, and in the face of continued attacks by Israeli settlers and soldiers as well as the expected annexation of even more of their land by the Israeli government, the Palestinian people remain steadfast. Life is difficult as they exist in what amounts to lock down all the time. Hear from some who serve as Methodist mission workers about the realities on the ground at this time and be inspired to take action on behalf of those suffering in the West Bank, East Jerusalem, and Gaza.

Speakers include Rev. Angleena Keizer, a British Methodist serving at the Methodist Liaison Office in Jerusalem.  She is currently in the Holy Land and is well aware of how this virus is impacting the people and the economy. Tina Whitehead from Western PA Conference of the UMC volunteered in Jerusalem until late March and remains in close touch with residents there. Rev. Alex Awad, a retired UMC missionary and a Palestinian Christian has strong ties in the region.  Our host is Bridget Cabrera, Executive Director of MFSA.  Rev. John Wagner, Co-Chair of UMKR, will moderate.
