Become a Member

 

The membership of Black Methodists for Church Renewal, Inc., shall be composed of those Black people who subscribe to the purpose of Black Methodists for Church Renewal, Inc., and who comply with the provisions of the membership regulations as prescribed from time to time by the Board of Directors. The Annual Conference assessment is $500.00 annually. This amount shall be reported during the roll call at the National Annual Meeting of Black Methodists for Church Renewal, Inc..

  • National Sustaining Membership – Includes all publications of the organization and a membership card.  It is renewable each year.

  • Student Membership – Includes undergraduate and persons enrolled in courses of study in educational institutions, who subscribe to the purpose of BMCR, and shall include publications of the organization.  It is renewal each year.

  • Associate Membership – United Methodists who are not of Black ancestry but who subscribe to the purpose of BMCR can become an Associate Member; attend the Annual Meeting with voice and no vote.  It includes all publications of the organization and a membership card.  It is renewable each year.

  • Century Membership - Includes all publications of the organization, a Century Membership Card and Pin.  This membership may be paid in 5 consecutive yearly payments of $150.  It is a new life membership.

  • Life Membership – Includes all publications of the organization, a Life Membership Card and Pin.  This membership may be paid in 5 consecutive yearly payments of $300.

  • Harry Hosier Membership – Includes all publications of the organization, A Harry Hosier Pin, Card and Certificate.  This membership may be paid in 5 consecutive yearly payments of $500.

  • BMCR Partners – Churches, agencies and institutions related to The United Methodist Church are eligible to become BMCR partners and receive all publications, a certificate and two BMCR Annual Meeting registrations.  This membership may be paid in 5 consecutive yearly payments of $2,000.
